Going green

After a (possibly) record-breaking string of dreary, grey days, here are two luscious, green summer trees from my photo collection to remind us that summer is, in theory, around the corner.

Land of no cheese is now taking a short break until mid-May. By which time summer should have arrived, fingers crossed. See you then.

Sticking with the tree theme. This fortnight in Time Out HK: the magic forest.

  1. Wait Emilie... tell me how you got to the Soko Islands please!

    1. Hi Yvonne, this was actually last year. We paid a boat man at Cheung Chau to take us. We first asked around at Cheung Chau public pier. We got a group of friends together and split the price between us. It's a nice remote island trip though don't expect much hiking as it's very overgrown.

    2. Thanks for answering before you go off for a month. One more query: Can you remember how much the price of the boat ride was?

    3. I think it was around one thousand and we split it between 6 of us. But I can't remember exactly for sure. I think it can be negotiated too. Best to go with a group to make it worth it.
