Fiddler in the mud

If you want to see a government-sponsored fiddler crab in HK, here are two places you could go:

Woodside Biodiversity Education Centre

Hong Kong Wetland Park
These crabs are the lucky ones. Intertidal animals living at the site of the proposed Lung Mei artificial beach project might not be so lucky. Unless the government scoops them all up before pouring sand all over their homes and rehouses them in a nice, fun-for-all-the-family exhibit, of course.

  1. Even better than fiddler crabs are the crazy lungfish-type things - fish with front legs - at HK wetland park. The way they hop around! Crazy!
