Pink and gold

While sorting through my older pictures I found two different Hong Kong sunsets. I always hold that sunset pictures are insufferably trite and corny, but I still can't resist a snap when one presents itself. In my defence, neither was taken at West Kowloon waterfront promenade where sunset snappers tend to congregate. Can you guess where in HK either of these might be?

  1. Hi Emilie --

I'm guessing for the first photo: south of Shatin... from one of the Kowloon Hills?

For the second: a boat off Ma Shi Chau?

    1. Hi Yvonne, yes it's Sha Tin in the first one, from Ma On Shan (well, halfway down). As for the second, nice try, it's actually Yunn O (Sunny Bay, Lantau). Both were ages ago!

    2. Hi again Emilie --

Aaah re the second photo. Have never been in that area -- and no, I've never been to Hong Kong Disneyland. I thought the narrow bit of land in the picture was the tombolo at Ma Shi Chau. Ah well! ;b
