Below the surface

Crouched on the surface like water boatmen, small fishing trawlers seem to go about their business in a mundane and innocuous way in the coves of the outlying islands.
At least, that's what I thought until I noticed, from a higher vantage point, the trail of sea-floor silt they stir up, as this photo I've tweaked reveals:

A perfectly ordinary daily catastrophe.
