Lunch on the loo

Once again, I stray away from the usual format of this blog because I have discovered the nadir of tastelessness in the heart of Causeway Bay, Hong Kong Island's shopping district.

With walls adorned with shower heads, somewhat unorthodox seating and poo-themed merchandise on sale, you may understand why I got the giggles sitting down to lunch at the ''Modern Toilet'' restaurant.

The taiwanese chain is frequented by families and high school students at lunchtime.
Our attractively presented "urinal drinks"...
When our food was served, strangely enough, we didn't have much appetite...

I tried my best to put on a smile before tucking in to my Japanese pork schnitzel-type thing, but the "toilet bowl" in front of me was decidedly offputting... is the entrance area, decorated with an interesting photo-op board, and a huge sink adorned with a large fluffy turd.

Our conclusion... toilets and chopsticks shouldn't mix!
