Midday heat

It's hot at midday in Hong Kong in summer by any standards, but on the city's streets, with blasts of heat from passing traffic, air-conditionning outlets and the temperature radiating off the concrete, it's particularly uncomfortable. That's why I'm always amazed to see girls about town determined to wear jeans or little jackets, even if they are probably just ducking out of one refrigerated shopping complex and into another.
