Pink dragon fruit

I encountered an extraordinarily pink dragon fruit in a salad I made yesterday! I had only come across the white variety before, but this one was explosive fuscia. the camera does not do its beetroot scarlet justice. Dragon fruit is like a lot of things - all about external appearance. It's pretty boring when you actually take a bite.

Luckily the mangoes, kiwis and dragon eye etc made up for it.

Washing line

A popular way to dry your clothes in HK is to hang washing outside, which is fine when you live in a village and have a pretty balcony:
But slightly more problematic when you live on the 23rd floor.

Shek O

In between torrential thundery downpours, I managed to take some pictures in the village of Shek O today. The top one is a typical old HK letterbox.
